Wide range of applications

The ability to choose measurement modes allows you to use a wide range of standard analysis methods, which makes Dumalyzer™ instruments an universal solution for chemical laboratories in various industries.

Principle of operation of Dumalyzer™ series devices

The operation of the devices is based on the Dumas method.
Combustion of a sample of the substance in oxygen, followed by separation of combustion products and sequential determination of each element by the detector.

The use of this method, together with innovative technical solutions and a unique software developed by experienced engineers of Costech Microanalytical, made it possible to achieve high accuracy, automation and reliability of Dumalyzer™ tools.

N

Safety of the Dumas method compared to the Kjeldahl method

  • No poisonous reagents.
  • There are no hot corrosive solutions.
  • No hood required.
N

Full automation of the analysis process

The use of a unique controlled gas flow system controlled by microprocessors provides control over all analysis functions in real time, minimizing human involvement.
N

High accuracy and reproducibility

Optimized measurement modes, pre-calibration of the gas flow controllers and detector ensure high accuracy and reliability of results.

The use of an innovative detection method ensures the receipt of stable and reliable analysis results.

Advantages of Dumalyzer™ Software

N

Autonomous Operation with Parameter Retention
The analyzer is equipped with internal microcontrollers that store all analysis parameters. If the PC shuts down, the device continues working as programmed. Upon restarting the PC, simply press Work — there’s no need to re-enter settings.

N

Flexible Control from PC
All parameters can be set and adjusted via the user-friendly PC software.

N

Intuitive Interface
The clear and simple interface makes daily use easy and speeds up onboarding, especially in educational and multipurpose labs.

N

Visual Monitoring of the Analysis Process
Live display of the analysis process with automatic calculation and data storage.

N

Customizable Reporting
Results can be printed as tailored protocols according to client needs.

N

Regular Software Updates
The software is periodically updated and adapted to your specific requirements.

N

Built-in Self-Diagnostics
Internal diagnostics help prevent errors and extend the instrument’s service life.

Many advantages in technical operation and ensuring accurate results:

N

Short analysis time

Sample analysis takes anywhere from 3 to 15 minutes, depending on the instrument configuration selected.

The optimized sample incineration process makes it possible to analyze a large number of samples with minimal time.

N

Low cost of operation of the device

Built-in gas saving function that adapts to the sample combustion system in relation to the selected measurement configuration.

Determination of protein in:

  • Feeds, e.g. AOAC 990.03
  • Grain, e.g. AOAC 979.09, 920.87, 992.23
  • Cereal products, oilseeds DIN EN ISO 16634
  • Meat and meat products, e.g. AOAC 992.15 or AOAC 928.08, § 64 LFGB L 06.00-20
  • Beer, wort, grains for breweries, e.g. AOAC 997.09
  • Malt and raw materials for breweries, e.g. AOAC 920.53, 950.09
  • Milk and dairy products, e.g. § 64 LFGB L 01.00-60, L 02.00-24

  • Feed – GB/T 24318-2009
  • Cereal Products, Oilseeds – GB/T 31578-2015

Determination of nitrogen in:

  • Soil (fertilizer), e.g. DIN 11512-20, DIN 19684-Part 4 or AOAC 973.48
  • Improving soils and crop environments
  • Fertilizers, e.g. AOAC 993.13, DIN EN 13654-2
  • Oil
  • Coffee
  • Plastics
  • Paper
  • Tobacco
  • Urine
  • Water, e.g. DEV, H11, H28
  • Pulp
Principle of operation of the analyzer
A solid or liquid sample is burned at a high temperature in the presence of a catalyst until oxides are formed. With the help of copper, nitrogen oxides (NOx) are reduced to elemental nitrogen, with the complete separation of by-products such as water and carbon dioxide. Nitrogen is analyzed using a thermal conductivity detector.
