On May 28, 2026, Costech Microanalytical OÜ organized an information day titled “Sampling and Laboratory Analysis” at its laboratory in Tallinn in cooperation with the Estonian Food Industry Association.

The event brought together representatives of food industry companies, laboratories, quality specialists, and public sector institutions to discuss modern approaches to quality control, microbiological analysis, and export quality assurance.

The program covered:
• food safety risk assessment;
• sampling principles;
• laboratory quality control services;
• rapid hygiene monitoring methods;
• export-related quality requirements.

During the event, Viktor Buts, founder and director of Costech Microanalytical OÜ, presented “Cost Reduction and Export Quality Assurance – Dumalyzer™ Overview”, focusing on modern protein determination solutions based on the Dumas method and their advantages compared to the traditional Kjeldahl method.

As part of the practical laboratory session, ten companies brought their own product samples for protein analysis using the Dumalyzer™ system.
The event demonstrated the growing interest within the Estonian food industry in faster, safer, and more cost-effective laboratory solutions that support stable product quality and strengthen export competitiveness.
